A Raised Fist & A Helping Hand

Another fantastic day, not least for the return of Pauline Town! For those of you new to WSO Pauline has done for Ashton-under-Lyne what Val Colvin has done for Liverpool, and we are overjoyed to welcome her energy, drive and commitment back to the team after a spell out injured. Her enthusiasm is infectious and has been much-missed. Great to have you back Pauline!

Hard to believe it, but it’s only six weeks tonight that everything kicks off! SIX WEEKS! Unbelievable how time has flown. There’s obviously now an urgency to you getting your town involved, so don’t waste any time getting to it. If you have already set your event up but not confirmed with us at WSO Central, then PLEASE register your gig for our WSO Comprehensive National Gig Guide by filling in the form on the website or messaging me with your venue/date/bill info (what you have confirmed) and a contact email. I NEED THAT INFO FOLKS OR YOUR GIG WILL NOT MAKE THE LISTINGS!

Lastly, and this is ace. Jamie Bramwell made contact with former goalkeeping legend Neville Southall today over on Twitter. Mr Southall now works with young people and has generously pledged a signed copy of his autobiography for us to raffle toward our causes. Amazing stuff. Everton FC again eh? Fantastic support.

Tomorrow night (Saturday 22nd) our man Joe Solo will be playing as part of a massive bill at the legendary Adelphi in Hull. The gig is a WSO fundraiser helping to get some money together for merch and posters for the various gigs the city is hosting as part of our weekend. The cause there was helped today by the local Green Party who delivered 15,000 leaflets today bearing our logo and urging the city to support us. Big thanks to all involved.

Right. Enjoy your weekend!
