The spirit of our movement cannot be better demonstrated than in the brief crisis which engulfed WSO Blackpool over the weekend. Zowie Dischord messaged an SOS that their venue had closed and they had no home. We offered Northwich as an alternative as we have a willing venue but no-one to promote it. In the meantime The Cedar Tavern in Blackpool came to the rescue offering not only one day but TWO, and we have high hopes that Northwich may well be close to confirming as a result. From one cancelled event three rise from the ashes. Great stuff.

We have also been able to confirm WSO Bury too and have high hopes of more over the next day or two so watch this space.

The posters page has been updated to include the latest additions and some of them are pure works of art. We have been stunned by the quality and the imagination out there. They are all being shared to our Facebook page at:

https://www.facebook.com/weshallovercomeweekend

so please give us a ‘Like’ and share them around. Likewise on Twitter, we’re @WeShallWeekend and we’re using the hashtag #WSOArt if you can give them a retweet.

Lastly, congratulations to Ian Roberts whose song ‘Wake Up’ got some radio airplay this morning on the back of being on the WSO download which you can find at:

https://joesolomusic.bandcamp.com/

It’s FREE and there are some belters on there. Please spread it around and help the bands lending WSO their time and talents over our weekend.

Right. Back to it. Amazing days keep coming!
