A Raised Fist & A Helping Hand

We Shall Overcome received its finest endorsement yet when Jeremy Corbyn, fresh from being re-elected as Leader of the Opposition, addressed the Labour Women’s Conference wearing a WSO badge on his jacket. We managed a quick screenshot from the BBC coverage and it has given us a huge boost here at WSO Central.

He was still wearing it when The Mirror followed him to a local cafe.

While we remain a non-party political organisation, there’s no doubting we support the anti-austerity message Mr Corbyn and John McDonnell are putting out there, we’d be foolish not to given that it is what we are fighting for ourselves.

If the WSO message, that out communities are suffering and we have had enough, is reaching the corridors of power then that can only be a good thing and we thank Mr Corbyn for his acknowledgement and support.

Tonight we are 260 events strong.

Let’s make this unforgettable!
