‘We shall overcome’ say community minded musicians

Local musicians have come together to organise live music to give much needed support to [INSERT LOCAL CAUSE]. ‘We Shall Overcome’ is a community effort led by musicians and music promoters who want to do something practical to help people in our area who are being hit hard by homelessness and poverty caused by years of government austerity policies. Since the initiative began in 2015 more than a 1000 gigs have taken place, raising an estimated £450,000 of cash, food, clothing and bedding for those hardest hit by austerity.
